Social Media Editor - On The Bandwagon Podcast

On The Bandwagon is a podcast that explores how fandoms shape identity, community, and culture, and it was my senior capstone project. I worked alongside 20 other Magazine seniors and graduate students to create every aspect of the podcast from the ground up. I was a member of our class leadership team as a co-social media producer. Our team traveled across upstate and west-central New York to speak with superfans—from drag queens inspired by pop divas to Indigenous lacrosse fans honoring their heritage. We uncovered how music, sports, books, and movies give people purpose, preserve traditions, and even influence careers. I produced nearly 20 pieces of social media content, both to pair with our episodes and as a way to explore other fandoms not talked about on the show.
