Founder and Editor in Chief - MWAH Collective

In October 2024, I co-founded MWAH Collective, a digital magazine dedicated to exploring women’s issues, art, and culture through a lens of authenticity, creativity, and empowerment. What began as a passion project has grown into a vibrant online platform that celebrates vulnerability, self-expression, and the voices of emerging creatives.

As Editor in Chief, I lead all editorial strategy, from developing content themes and planning our editorial calendar to editing submissions and writing original features. I guide a team of writers and contributors, providing feedback on story pitches, shaping the editorial tone, and ensuring all content aligns with our mission. I also write and edit articles across genres, including personal essays and long-form narrative journalism.

In addition to overseeing written content, I manage our visual direction. I conceptualize and creatively direct our photoshoots, including scouting locations, casting models, styling outfits, and coordinating shoot logistics. I photographed our “Self Love” shoot and modeled in our “Halloween Scream Queens” feature, both of which were accompanied by narrative pieces. I also collaborate with our team on visual branding and design assets, including graphics for social media and the website.

On the digital side, I manage all of MWAH Collective’s social media platforms, creating content calendars, designing posts and reels, writing engaging copy, and analyzing performance metrics to refine our strategy and grow our following. I’ve increased engagement across platforms through curated campaigns, community-building posts, and behind-the-scenes content that highlights the creative process.

My role also involves administrative responsibilities such as managing communication with contributors, coordinating publishing timelines, and maintaining our website. Our upcoming summer feature, which came out recently, includes a new editorial shoot and a multi-voice narrative piece, which I creative directed and edited.
